New Work

This installation work was created during 2023 during my residency at Winterthur Museum. The installation explores the narrative of enslaved labor, the erasure, unearthing, and mapping of histories and contributions made by black enslaved and freed labor to art.

This body of works examines and questions my own contemporary practice of my own accord, how trauma is reflected and ever so present in the DNA of a practice.

Trauma in DNA

How does dormant trauma present itself? Our whole narrative offers a place of healing, only once we’ve acknowledged and accessed our trauma.
